Sappy Song

from After The Gravity by Rob Szabo

about

This is an acoustic version of "Sappy Song" by my former band The Groove Daddys. A band version of this song appeared on our 1994 debut album "Bottom Feeder" as a hidden track. We called it "Sappy Song" 'cause it wasn't as "heavy" as the other music we were playing at the time. Funny.

lyrics

Sappy Song
(Szabo/Flynn/Cowell)

i missed the train but I’ve the time to wait
if I knew then what I’ll know when I …

if you don’t mind i’ve got to wait ‘til I begin
should that time come i’ll be content but I may be dead

if I knew I would be sure to let you in on it
when I know I will be sure

I’ll change my name & say I’ve been through everything
Then I’ll complain that I don’t know what to do today

If you did mind you should have said when I began
You thought I knew but who’s to say that I can’t pretend

if I knew I would be sure to let you in on it
when I know I will be sure
when I know I will be sure to let you in on it
if I knew I would be sure
